Benjamin Mkapa
Stadium

Tanzania’s largest stadium and the main Dar es Salaam venue, located in Temeke on the city’s south side. Expect the marquee fixtures here, along with the biggest crowds and heaviest match-day traffic.

Arrive at least two hours before kickoff. Fan zones open early with big screens and food stalls if you want to make an afternoon of it rather than rushing straight to your seat.

Fixed-price stadium transfers are the easiest way in and out — see getting around Dar es Salaam for booking details.

Sheikh Amri Abeid
Stadium

Newly upgraded for the tournament, this venue sits close to Arusha’s hotel district — genuinely walkable from several accommodation options, unlike the Dar es Salaam venue.

Arusha’s cooler, drier climate makes for a more comfortable match-day experience than the coast. Combine a fixture here with a short safari extension, since the Northern Circuit parks are close by.

Book accommodation early — rooms fill fast around fixture dates given the city’s smaller hotel supply compared to Dar es Salaam.

Amaan
Stadium

Located in Stone Town — the only island venue of the tournament, and one of the most atmospheric settings in African football. Getting here means a fast ferry from Dar (about 2 hours) or a short domestic flight.

Book ferry tickets and accommodation well ahead of match day — capacity on both is limited, and Zanzibar fills fastest of all four venues around fixture dates.

The island is predominantly Muslim, so halal food is the default rather than the exception near the stadium and across Stone Town.

Jamhuri
Stadium

Tanzania’s capital sits at the geographic centre of the country — less visited by international tourists, but a genuinely interesting city with a different character to the coast.

Reach Dodoma by a 5–6 hour coach from Dar es Salaam, or a faster domestic flight if your schedule is tight between fixtures elsewhere.

Accommodation options are more limited here than in Dar, Zanzibar or Arusha — book earlier than you think you need to.
